Carolina Dorell

Carolina, originally from Argentina, has called Amsterdam home since 2015. She embodies curiosity, compassion, and enthusiasm, traits that shine through in her yoga practice and teachings.

Her journey into body-mind connection began in 2008 while studying contemporary dance. Through yoga and somatic techniques, she discovered the essential balance between body and mind, shaping her understanding of life’s experiences.

Yin yoga became a revelation for Carolina, offering a pathway to inner stillness and reflection, essential for counterbalancing the energetic demands of modern life.

In 2019, Carolina’s life took a transformative turn with her first sound bath experience. This profound encounter led her to delve into Tibetan sound healing studies, integrating chakra theory, sound meditation, and yoga into her practice.

In her classes, Carolina shares her deep passion for sound and movement, inviting participants to honor their bodies and embrace the present moment. Utilizing ancient instruments like the handpan, chimes, and singing bowls, she creates a space for profound meditation and relaxation, harmonizing mind and body through sound waves.

Carolina’s classes offer more than just physical exercise; they provide a sanctuary for connection, acceptance, and personal transformation. Through exploration of stillness and movement, silence and sound, she encourages participants to deepen their self-awareness and cultivate inner peace.

My Journey

Yoga Instruction: Carolina is a certified yoga instructor with a deep understanding of various yoga styles, including Yin yoga. She is skilled in guiding students through physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation practices.

Sound Healing: With training in Tibetan sound healing, Carolina incorporates sound therapy techniques into her classes. She is adept at using ancient instruments such as singing bowls, chimes, and the handpan to create a meditative and healing environment.
